During the past month, we have been showcasing some of the inspiring steel structure projects that we were part of during 2020 in our Steel Structure Project Spotlight.
Therefore, it is only natural that this mammoth project would also be featured.
This enormous 40 000m2 mall was developed by The Moolman Group, Twin City Development and JB Holdings. The mall is situated on Swartruggens road (R104), Rustenburg.
The sheer size of this project qualifies it to be one of the many large steel structure projects of the year.
Global Roofing Solutions (GRS) one of the largest metal roofing manufacturers in South Africa, supplied the Kliptite 700 sheeting profile for the roofing, which was installed by a long-standing Corroshield SA client.
Corroshield SA supplied the Class 3 fasteners used to secure the metal roofing to the steel structure.
These are the fasteners that were used to install the roof:
10 x 22mm METAPP SQD Wafers, used to secure the concealed fix clip into the steel substrate.
14-20 x 22mm METAPP HWF Stitching Screws, used to secure the metal flashing to the metal roofing.
