As the preferred supplier of roofing fasteners for the roofing industry in South Africa, Corroshield SA takes great pride in our products and the role they play in ensuring the integrity and longevity of roofing installations. We were thrilled to hear that our fasteners were selected for the Laerskool Standerton project, a primary school with a total roof size of 4000m².
The roof sheeting was supplied by JCP Roofing, a leading player in the South African roofing market. The chosen colour and profile for this project was Corrugated 10½ in Dove Grey, a popular choice for its durability and aesthetic appeal.
Our Tapperman 65mm Timtapp screws were selected for the installation into the timber purlins, which provide a structural base for the roof sheeting. These screws are specifically designed for metal roofing applications and are known for their superior holding power and resistance to corrosion.
For the installation of the Dove Grey flashing, our Corroshield 22mm Stitching screws were chosen. These screws provide a secure, watertight seal and are specifically designed for roofing and flashing applications. Their Class 3 rating means that they are well suited for in-land environments and will provide long-lasting protection against the elements.
The installation team did an excellent job, ensuring that the purlins were spaced as stipulated and properly aligned. They took care to overlap each roof sheet correctly, ensuring that there were no gaps or spaces where water or debris could enter. The finished roof was both functional and aesthetically pleasing, a testament to the quality of the materials used and the skill of the installation team.
